The Molecule of Life
In 1998, three scientists were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine for their work on Nitric Oxide. Called “The Molecule of Life,” Nitric Oxide has been shown to positively influence nearly every system throughout the body.
Research has shown that Nitric Oxide plays a crucial role in fundamental biological processes including maintaining healthy blood pressure. Nitric Oxide has been shown to expand blood vessels (known as vasodilation), leading to proper circulation, increase of energy, and heart health. Nitric Oxide is also important for immune system function and activation mechanisms in the central nervous system that affect everything from gastric motility to memory and behavior. As a signaling molecule, Nitric Oxide supports the body's natural inflammatory response and the healthy storage of information and communication between neurons.
Nitric Oxide promotes healthy motility and microcirculation, enabling healthy blood flow and nutrient delivery throughout the body. Because Nitric Oxide has been shown to naturally increase blood flow, it also helps support healthy sexual libido, performance and satisfaction.
